However, due to the influence of gold content and other factors, natural gold flotation has the following characteristics. 1 The natural gold in most ores is in the form of fine-grained disseminated, and it is necessary to carry out fine grinding to make the gold particles reach the monomer dissociation. â‘¡ gold often associated with sulphide minerals, particularly pyrite and symbiotic dense, must therefore select sulfide minerals in the recovery of gold. 3 The relative density of gold is very large. During the flotation process, the gold particles are easily detached from the surface of the bubble after contact with the bubbles. 4 In oxidized ore, the surface of gold particles is often contaminated or covered by iron oxides. 5 Gold has flexibility and ductility. It is often in the form of flakes during grinding. The surface is often embedded with a layer of ore particles to make the surface of the gold particles rough. In addition, during the grinding process, the surface of the gold particles is contaminated by metal such as iron due to the friction between the solid particles, especially the strong grinding between the steel balls and the gold particles. All of these characteristics have an adverse effect on the floatability of gold. Natural gold is not a chemically pure mineral. It is a compound. Or alloys formed with other metals. Common impurities in natural gold are silver and copper , followed by iron, secret, platinum and so on. The impurity content has a great influence on the floatability of natural gold. Because the impurities will reduce the relative density of the gold particles, change the structure of the gold particles, and reduce the floatability of the gold. The more impurities, the more easily oxidized, and the more important the floating ability of gold is. For example, gold contains silver and copper, which makes the natural gold surface easy to oxidize, and thus the floatability is lowered. If gold is present in the form of gold-containing sulfides, its floatation is equivalent to sulfide ore, and the floatability of the sulfide ore is generally improved. In summary, the gold in the ore has both an easy-to-floating side and a difficult-to-floating side.
